Winning the Toss India chose to field New Zealand and posted a challenging 176/6 against India in the first T20I. Opener Devon Conway made a 35-ball 52. While Daryl Mitchell smashed a 30-ball unbeaten 59. For India, Washington Sundar (2/22) scalped two wickets, while Kuldeep Yadav (1/20), Shivam Mavi (1/19 in 2, overs) and Arshdeep Singh (1/51) accounted for one wicket each.

After Devon Conway and Daryl Mitchell (59)Innings took New Zealand to a defendable score the Indian the Indian Bowlers remained expensive in the last few overs.
Brilliant comeback over from Arshdeep Singh, who conceded 22 runs in his first two overs. Two wickets and two singles at this stage is pure gold. Set batter Devon Conway (52) was holed out at long-off by Deepak Hooda before Michael Bracewell was run-out off Ishan Kishan’s direct hit from behind the stumps.
Also, a forgettable day for Arshdeep Singh as the pacer returned figures of 1 for 51 in 4 overs.
