The Gujarat Titan‘s innings got off to a terrible start when Wriddhiman Saha was out for a duck in the third ball, bowled by Bhuvneshwar Kumar. However, an amazing combination of 149 runs for the second wicket was formed by Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan, who took control of the game. The other batters for the Gujarat Titans failed to contribute and were unable to reach double figures.
The boundary-hitting prowess of Gill and Sudharsan was on display as Gill struck 13 fours on his way to a century and Sudharsan contributed six fours. They blasted four straight fours in the fourth over that Fazalhaq Farooqi pitched during the powerplay. The total crossed 100 in the following four overs as the scoring rate kept increasing. By hitting the first six of the inning in the eleventh over, Sudarshan stepped on the accelerator.
Gill slowed off a little after hitting his half-century in 22 balls, but he eventually reached his well-earned century. Even though Sudharsan had a few lucky escapes with lost catches, he demonstrated good technique and took advantage of wayward deliveries. Gill was rightly named as the man of the match.

In the TATA IPL 2023, Shubman Gill showed his happiness after hitting a century for the first time against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). Gill, who played in his first IPL match against SRH, felt as though his life had gone full circle.
” I made my IPL debut against SRH and got my first hundred against them, so life has come a full circle,” Shubhman Gill said.
The batter stressed the value of concentrating on the moment at hand rather than dwelling on previous performances.
“Hopefully many more to come. It’s all about the bowlers and situation and I don’t dwell much on my last innings. It is important to focus on the situation in front,” the GT batter added.
Gill emphasized the delight he had after smashing a six off Abhishek Sharma and that he had told Sharma beforehand that this was his plan. In domestic T20 cricket, the pair opens for Punjab.
“The six off Abhishek Sharma was the most pleasing thing for me. I told him that if you bowl to me I’m gonna hit you for a six,” Gill concluded.
