The Mumbai Indians players, Sandeep Warrier, Kumar Kartikeya, and Vishnu Vinod, expressed their subtle amusement after defeating the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the IPL 2023 Eliminator by taking a playful jab at LSG’s pacer, Naveen-ul-Haq. The incident occurred following Naveen’s previous confrontations and social media antics during the league stage of the tournament.

Naveen’s love for Mangoes

During an earlier encounter between Lucknow Super Giants and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), tensions rose as a heated exchange unfolded between Naveen-ul-Haq and RCB’s star, Virat Kohli. Naveen-ul-Haq, known for his social media presence, took to Instagram and shared stories of sweet mangoes whenever RCB faced setbacks in subsequent matches. 

Further showcasing his scathing banter, Naveen-ul-Haq uploaded a meme video on Instagram, expressing laughter after RCB’s unfortunate exit from the tournament. This playful behaviour caught the attention of fans and cricket enthusiasts alike.

Sandeep Warrier trolls Naveen

In a surprising turn of events, following Mumbai Indians’ victorious encounter against LSG in the IPL 2023 Eliminator, three Mumbai Indians players – Kumar Kartikeya, Vishnu Vinod, and Sandeep Warrier – decided to respond to Naveen-ul-Haq’s previous actions. They clicked a photo together at the dining table, with mangoes featured prominently in the frame.

Sandeep Warrier and Vishnu Vinod shared the picture on their Instagram profiles, accompanied by a witty caption that read, “Sweet season of mangoes.” However, the posts have since been taken down by the players. Despite their removal, the screenshot of their Instagram posts quickly circulated among Twitter users, further fueling the banter between the players.

Although the players’ intention was to share a playful moment, it appears to have caused a social media frenzy, with fans divided in their reactions. Some appreciated the humorous response, while others considered it a case of unnecessary provocation.

Naveen-ul-Haq, known for his enthusiastic and spirited performances on the field, has not yet responded to this playful exchange. It remains to be seen if he will join in the banter or opt for a more serious approach.
