The ODI World Cup 2023 is just 78 days away and the excitement among the fans has reached its peak. The schedule for the mega event was announced recently, with England and New Zealand locking horns in the tournament opener.
India will open their campaign against Australia in Bengaluru while the epic clash with Pakistan is slated to take place on October 15 in Ahmedabad.
While there has been no official confirmation from the BCCI, the Cricket Association Of Bengal (CAB) revealed the ticket prices for the Kolkata-bound matches. The iconic Eden Gardens is set to stage five World Cup games, including India vs South Africa, Pakistan vs England, Pakistan vs Bangladesh and one semifinal.
Eden Garden World Cup Matches Ticket Price Revealed
The ticket prices for the India vs South Africa and semi-final match range between INR 800 to 3000. For Pakistan vs England, the ticket will cost 800-2200 while for the Bangladesh game, the price will be between INR 650-1500.
As per a report in Telegraph, the CAB’s revelation of the ticket prices without BCCI’s consultation has not gone down well with the apex body. Reacting to the reports of BCCI being upset with CAB over ticket price reveal, Sourav Ganguly, who has headed both administrations, said that the CAB holds authority over ticket prices and the board will deal with the issue.
“This is totally the CAB’s jurisdiction. They’ll deal with it,” said Ganguly.
